Behind SLATE Group Logistics is a small, experienced team built on complementary strengths: freight expertise, operational leadership, and organized execution. Together, we share a common belief that logistics should be clear, dependable, and rooted in real partnership and we bring decades of combined experience to making that standard a reality for every shipper and carrier we serve.
Co-Founder + President
Jordan
Jordan brings over a decade of hands-on logistics and supply chain experience to SLATE Group Logistics. Throughout his career in freight brokerage, he managed major accounts, developed tailored transportation strategies, negotiated competitive rates, and built strong, lasting relationships with both shippers and carriers. As a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Jordan understands how freight, operations, and communication must work together to keep businesses moving smoothly.
Over the years, he saw firsthand where logistics often becomes unnecessarily complicated, where communication breaks down, expectations aren’t clear, and partners are left feeling like just another number in the system.
All of that experience led to one simple conclusion: there is a better way to run freight.
SLATE Group Logistics was built from that belief that logistics should feel straightforward, transparent, reliable, and rooted in real partnership.

Steve
Steve brings deep, hands-on experience in freight brokerage and carrier operations to SLATE Group Logistics. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with carriers across the country, building strong relationships and ensuring freight moves efficiently, reliably, and without unnecessary friction. His background on the carrier side gives him a unique, practical perspective on what it actually takes to execute at a high level.
He understands that successful logistics isn’t just about coverage, it’s about trust, communication, and consistency. By staying closely connected to drivers, dispatchers, and carrier partners, Steve helps ensure every shipment is handled with urgency, accuracy, and accountability.
At SLATE, Steve plays a key role in strengthening the company’s carrier network and day-to-day execution. His focus helps bridge the gap between planning and performance, making sure what’s promised is what gets delivered.

Terry
Terry brings decades of business leadership and people-first operational experience to SLATE Group Logistics. With a long career in organizational leadership and human resources across large, multi-site operations, he has spent his professional life helping teams perform at their best while building companies grounded in accountability and integrity.
His experience working alongside leaders and frontline teams across the country shaped a deep understanding of what makes organizations successful: clear communication, strong processes, and a culture where people feel valued and supported.
In helping launch SLATE, Terry plays a key role in shaping internal operations, culture, and the company’s commitment to long-term relationships. His guidance ensures SLATE places as much emphasis on how we work with people as what we move.
